Community PAR Garden

(Plant A Row)

Mission Statement

The goal of the garden is to produce a minimum of 1000 pounds of fresh produce organically grown to be supplied to community soup kitchens, food banks and needy groups and/or families. Beyond the physical gains, the garden’s purpose aims to develop a stronger relationship between church communities, the neighborhood, garden workers and volunteers in the spirit of learning and teamwork

2010 SEASON:

April 10, 2010 – November 15, 2010

Open Monday – Saturday      Dawn – Dusk

Open Sunday              12 Noon – Dusk

How it works:       Submit an application to the Church’s Community PAR Garden Committee.  Once approved, follow the rules, then Plant, Grow, Have Fun and Reap the benefits of your labor!  As produce reaches maturity, harvested vegetables can be taken home with a portion to be donated to the community by way of the church.  (All produce to be weighed and logged before removing from the garden.  Scale and log located in the garden shed.)

Who can participate:  Any approved group, organization, individual or family that meets the application requirements.

How to apply:      Download an application by clicking here or pick up an application from inside the church vestibule or from the garden shed during garden hours.  Submit by mail or drop off at the Community PAR Garden Mailbox in the church vestibule.
